I cannot believe how fast time flies. I always hear the voices of my mom and grandma when I think about this because they would tell me over and over that as you get older it goes even faster. They weren’t kidding.
I look back over the last year and can’t help but smile. Was the entire year perfect? No, of course not. None of it was perfect, but it was fun and exciting. A learning experience and opportunity to grow as a mom, girlfriend, employee, friend and just overall person. I am much kinder today than I was a year ago. Patient too. I have finally learned that life is so much easier when you look for the good vs. negative. Toxic muck is not welcome in this house and we have all made an effort to keep it out.
I am not one to make resolutions, but I do have a few things I would like to stick with. We are all going to have daily to-do lists – I think it will help us keep the structure we desire without overwhelming ourselves. I want to keep the house organized, and stay on top of the laundry (no one likes to lug it upstairs and put it away). I will cook more, exercise to gain the strength that I have lost over the years and post to my blog a couple times each week. I figure by posting what I want to accomplish I am holding myself more accountable.
I can’t wait to see what this year has in store and look forward to sharing along the way.
The photo is of my adorable son in his WAY too big Christmas jammies. He’s such a ham.
